This 5-day course takes place at the Volksuniversiteit (Community College) in the beautiful city centre of Utrecht. It is a course in stencil printing on fabric that takes you from working with very simple stencils using different brush techniques, to working with multiple stencils to printing more complex motifs and finally, if you want, working with simple repeat patterns. It is a course that is very suitable for beginners and can also be taken by anyone who has followed my courses before. We will then start where you left off.
Stencil printing is a technique that can be practiced at many levels and in many styles. You do not need to be great a drawing, but a love for play and discovery are very welcome.
The course will be taught in English, Dutch or both depending on the participants.
The venue is the course centre of the Volksuniversiteit along one of the beautiful canals in Utrecht. The room where we will work is in one of the characteristic ‘werfkelders’ along the canal. The course does not include accommodation or meals, but Utrecht offers a lot of good hotels and bnb’s to stay in and a lot of great restaurants.

Deze vijfdaagse cursus vindt plaats aan de Volksuniversiteit in het prachtige centrum van Utrecht. Het is een cursus sjabloon druk op stof, waarbij je start met eenvoudige stencils en verschillende kwasttechnieken, vervolgens met meerdere stencils om complexere motieven te drukken en tot slot, als je wilt, met eenvoudige herhalende patronen. Deze cursus is geschikt voor beginners en kan ook gevolgd worden door iedereen die al eerder cursussen bij mij heeft gedaan. We beginnen dan waar je was gebleven.
Sjabloon druk is een techniek die op veel niveaus en in veel stijlen beoefend kan worden. Je hoeft geen kei te zijn in tekenen, maar een passie voor spelen en ontdekken is zeer welkom en je kan ook als beginner heel mooie prints maken.
De cursus kan, afhankelijk van de deelnemers, in het Engels, Nederlands of beide worden gegeven.
De locatie is het cursuscentrum van de Volksuniversiteit aan een van de prachtige grachten van Utrecht. De ruimte waar we werken is een van de karakteristieke werfkelders langs de gracht. Accommodatie en maaltijden zijn niet inbegrepen in de cursus, maar als je niet in de buurt woont vind je in Utrecht veel goede hotels en B&B's om te verblijven en veel goede restaurants.
